Corrine Johnson Wells
"Nonny"
1934-2011
Corrine Wells was united with her Savior on June 2nd. She has traded a body trapped by Parkinson's Disease for a body that will never fail.
Corrine has been an Escambia County resident for 58 years. She worked in the Ensley area at City Drugs & the Bank of West Florida before retiring in 1989. She was a member of Gonzalez Baptist Church.
Our hearts are broken at the loss of our precious "Nonny" but there is joy in the knowledge that she has been reunited with her son Buddy, who passed away at age 8. Her mother, Mattie Johnson also preceeds her in death.
Her legacy is that of a Godly woman, loving mother and grandmother. Among those who will miss her are: her husband of 58 years, Harold Wells, three children; Cindy Rimpf (Anton) of NC, John Wells of TX and Becky Ingram (Tim) of AL. Nonny was a wonderful grandmother to: Brian, Kevin, Bridget & Nathan Rimpf, Cody, Austin & Samantha Wells & David & Katelyn Ingram. She also leaves behind 3 great-grandchildren; Carter, Greyson & Lila and a brother and sister in law, Wayne & Ouida Johnson of Pensacola.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 1 PM till the service time of 2 PM at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Gonzalez Baptist Church.
The children of Corrine & Harold Wells wish to thank the amazing staff of Azalea Trace for their excellent care of our mom and support for our dad during the past 6.5 years. You have truly blessed our lives.
Express your condolences in our guestbook at pnj.com/obits
