Dry powders hear the call of three sonic sievers

Choose from three instruments in the GilSonic line for particle sizing applications. The AutoSiever uses microprocessor control for dry sieving to 5 mm. The sample is carried in a vertically oscillating column that lifts particles, then carries them back against mesh openings at 3,600 pulses/min. The UltraSiever can use up to 7 conventional test sieves. The range of sizes is from 20 mm to 6.3 mm. The SiftMaster can be used for continuous production sizing of flowable materials to 20 mm. The setup is based on a stationary sieve surface with the particles pulsed in a sonically-oscillating air column. -- Gilson Co., Worthington, Ohio
