Abstract
The paper is a reflection of what interpersonal skills construes for most, including higher educational Institutions and even B.-Schools. The paper deals with the myths in this area. The paper throws a lot on the role of sensitivity training and personal growth in interpersonal skill development. The article clearly point out towards a blend of the two.

INTRODUCTION
A lot has been and is talked about interpersonal skills these days. B-Schools are the most natural places where this thing is talked about [2]. For managers it is imperative to have interpersonal skills [1]. Without interpersonal skills their survival in the corporate world is a big question mark. But there is even a bigger question mark. Do only managers need it? Can professionals from other walks of life do without it? The answer is an emphatic no. The undeniable fact is that every individual needs interpersonal skills in life [3].
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Interpersonal skills is a widely discussed issue in human resource management. Interpersonal skills pertain to verbal communication - the ability to communicate one's point to others and make them understand. Apart from verbal communication there is non-verbal communication - the body language, the demeanor one has. Body language too plays an important role. Body language can tell whether one is receptive towards communication or closed. Non verbal communication is a more recent concept and involves things like facial expressions , body movements, etc also called as kinesics. Listening is another important trait. Communication can only be well received when this trait is there. Another of the interpersonal skill is negotiation. Negotiation with people has always been an art. Assertiveness is also supposed to be an interpersonal skill. This can be thought of in this way that how well people are able to put their point forth with confidence and what impact it has on others. Anger management is another trait. Yes, people who have a short fuse can least deal with others. Conflict resolution is another skill. People who have this skill have the advantage of soothing people, bury the differences and take them back in their fold. Lastly, we have teamwork. People who have good interpersonal skill get along with others well and are able to...
