The DDT-Malaria Factor
Over the years there has been much controversy over the use of the insecticide DDT in the North of Namibia to prevent malaria. DDT is banned in countries all over the world for agricultural purposes. In the West the chemicals in DDT passed through the food chain and resulted in cancers and birth defects in babies. For these reasons DDT was banned.
