ComWavz, a provider of wireless highspeed Internet access to businesses, organizations, and residences in north central and northwest Ohio, is in the early stages of investing $2.5 million in a new 30,000 square foot facility. The company has just begun the search for an architect, which will likely be named in the fourth quarter of this year. ComWavz estimates that it will be moving into the facility in a year and a half.
"Currently we lease a facility about half this size on the east side of Findlay," explained Mike Harms, director of sales and marketing for ComWavz. "The lease expires at the end of 2003, and at that time we'd either have to renew the lease, find our own location, or build our own place. We looked at all the economics; it just seemed to make the most sense to move into a place of our own."
The new facility will primarily house the main business headquarters, although it may also be used for some warehousing.
