Northwest Ohio's place in cutting-edge research recently took another step forward. The University of Toledo was part of a statewide team that received more than $700,000 in grants for work in spinal implant development.
The work is being conducted by the university's Department of Bioengineering in conjunction with Theken Surgical of Akron, Ohio; the University of Akron; and Akron Polymer Laboratory.
