Conservative talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh was quick to tag Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor as a racist. But let's have a look at world-class racism.
When President Obama selected Sonia Sotomayor to replace David Souter on the Supreme Court, the right-wing opposition promptly sharpened its attack knives. Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich was quick to call her a "racist," a charge he later retracted.
Conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh quickly joined the chorus. On his radio show, Limbaugh said that Sotomayor "brings a form of bigotry and racism to the Court." He called Judge Sotomayor a "hack" and compared her to David Duke, a former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. Unlike Gingrich, Limbaugh did not retract his charge of racism.
