Radiographie technique is the combination of position of the patient, X-ray beam direction, selection of proper film-cassettes, the screen-film combination, exposure factors and processing in chemicals. This WHO manual has several chapters illustrating the radiographie techniques by positioning of the patient with a computer animation technique. General outline of patient care along with radiation protection to perform the examination and an acceptable resulting X-ray image along with instructions have been shown. The entire radiography has been illustrated on a dedicated X-ray unit that complies with the specifications for the WHO Imaging System for Radiology, WHIS-RAD stand using humanoid phantoms. Reasonable cassette-screen-film combinations are suggested, as well as exposure values, which have to be adjusted to local conditions.
