ICMAD YOUNG DESIGNER The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers & Distributors Association (ICMAD) announced the winners of the 2004 Young Designers' Competition at an awards dinner this fall in New York. Kasia Stach, a student at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, took first place and a prize of US$2,500 for her "Orangery" body soak. "ICMAD is foremost in promoting young talent through a well organized competition among six top design schools in the U.S. Encouraging young talent is the future of our industry," said ICMAD president Karen Acker of KA Consulting.
