CEN Solutions, a leading EN 1279 consultancy, has published a bulletin explaining in detail the current situation regarding declarations of conformity to EN 1279 Part 2 and BS EN 1279 Kitemark. It is now possible for many insulating glass manufacturers to self-declare their conformity. If their ig units have been successfully tested to Part 2 and a factory production control system fully complying with Part 6 has been implemented, self- declaration is permitted.
