Abstract

So, how does Scofield’s guide stand apart from this ongoing war of words? Very specifically. She is addressing the newbie novelist who has a draft of a story and is stuck, or a frustrated writer who can’t land an agent or publisher with a current manuscript after many attempts. If you are only contemplating writing your novel, this book is not for you. If you don’t have that draft front and center, this is not the guide for you. But, as there is a very large population who have hidden that tearstained, alcohol-ringed draft in the bottom left drawer, this is the book for you.
