Over the past eight years, Tutor.com has changed the way librarians view online reference work. George Cigale, Tutor.com's CEO since co-founding the company in 1998, leveraged over 15 years of experience in tutoring and education services, most recently as vice president of the Princeton Review, to bring about what he describes as "rapid but calculated growth." Cigale has raised nearly $18 million in venture capital and secured strategic partnerships with several top education companies to deliver homework help via the internet. He received a BA in political science from the State University of New York at Binghamton and lives in Pleasantville, New York, with his wife and three children. He is also an active member of the Americans for Libraries Council.
What makes Tutor.com unique? We've created a service that allows students of all ages to connect immediately with an expert for one-to-one help. When students are working on homework, searching for critical information, or are frustrated with a tricky concept, what really makes them happy is when a real live person is there to help.
