Fires and other dangerous situations can threaten a refinery, platform or rig's critical system infrastructure, as well as the safety of its employees. The fire-resistant Flex-Flame HCF (HydroCarbon Fire) cable from Draka Marine, oil & Gas International offers refineries, offshore drilling rigs and production platforms a solution to keep critical system applications operating during these potentially hazardous situations. These applications include emergency shutdown and fire pump systems, communications systems, fire and gas monitoring systems, power supply for motor-operated block and depressuring valves.
How They Work
The Flex-Flame HCF cable offers unique temperature and thermal properties that give off a cooling effect which enable it to withstand high-heat temperatures normally associated with a fire. The design is based on the fire-resistant elastomeric Flex-Flame (BFOU) cable that is surrounded with several layers of composite protection.
