No. 1 Video Chain and Electronics Retailer Roll Out Store-Within-Store Concept
Following through on an earlier announcement, Blockbuster Inc. and RadioShack Corp. will launch the RadioShack Cool Things electronic hardware store-within-a-- store concept this month at Blockbuster stores in four markets.
The Cool Things stores, to include a full line of home entertainment hardware and other products, will be rolled out in 120 corporate-owned Blockbuster outlets in Austin,Texas; Las Vegas; Tulsa, Okla.; and Norfolk,Va., the companies say.
A nationwide rollout is expected early next year.
The product mix at the stores will include televisions,VCRs, DVD players and surround sound equipment. In addition, the stores will stock mobile telephones,...
