A 64-year-old woman developed acute generalised exanthematous pustulosis during therapy with amoxicillin/ clavulanic acid and rivaroxaban [routes, dosages and duration of therapy to reaction onset not stated].
The woman presented with a pustular rash and signs of systemic inflammation. A differential blood count exhibited leucocytosis and neutrophilia. She had first noticed abrupt onset of sheets composed of small pustules on her stomach, which subsequently spread to the neck and the palms.
