The fastest growing companies on the Private 100.
While the three fastest growing companies on the Private 100 list could not be more different from one another, it is not surprising that two are related to health care, one of the state's largest and fastest growing sectors.
Benefiting from that increased demand for health care and a dearth of providers are ConvenientMD Urgent Care and Medicus Healthcare Solutions. ConvenientMD in Portsmouth may bring up the rear of the list- clocking in at #100, but it is the fastest growing company on the list thanks to its nine urgent care centers in the state. And Medicus in Windham, ranked #15 on the Private 100, is the third fastest for growth due to providing much needed staffing of medical professionals.
Port Electronics Corporation's presence shouldn't be a surprise either as it distributes products to government contractors, particularly in the defense industry, another strong economic sector in the Granite State.
These companies do have some other things in common. Both Port Electronics (#44 on the Private 100 and second for growth) and ConvenientMD are making their debut on the Private 100. Both ConvenientMD and Medicus were named to the Inc. 5000 this year, a list of the nation's fastest growing private companies.
The growth of these companies signal the strength in NH's economy, and the good news is all three are projecting further growth in 2018.

What began as a discussion about buying a business during a bachelor party boat cruise has become one of the fastest growing businesses in NH and the fastest growing company on this year's Private 100 list.
Max Puyanic and Gareth Dickens met years ago while working at William Blair, a global investment banking and asset management firm in Chicago.
