Think circuit boards and only circuit boards.
That simple business strategy is what Michael Blumberg and Leonard Applebaum intend to follow as they work to resurrect the former memory products business of troubled Cumulus Corp.
The pair in October formed Cumulus Memory Products to buy selected assets of the memory enhancement division of financially troubled Cumulus Corp. As part of
Cumulus, the division in 1991 recorded sales of $45 million by selling circuit boards that expand the memory of personal computers.
Cumulus Memory Products acquired the Cumulus brand name, plus certain production and testing equipment and product designs. Mr. Blumberg declined to reveal the purchase price.
Mr. Blumberg is president of Repco Electronics Inc., a distributor and manufacturer of electronics systems in Solon. Mr. Applebaum is chairman and chief executive officer of CAM RPC, a Highland Heights electronics manufacturer and distributor.
