Imalux Corp., a startup developer of imaging technology designed to detect precancerous cells, has lured a former Steris Corp. executive back to Northeast Ohio.
J. Lloyd Breedlove, 55, a senior vice president at Mentorbased Steris until he left the company in 1999, is the new president and CEO of Imalux. After leaving Steris, Mr. Breedlove moved to his native Charlotte, N.C., to serve as CEO of Kivalo Inc., an early-stage health care technology company.
Mr. Breedlove's hiring was announced last week by the Imalux board, which is chaired by former Steris president and CEO Bill Sanford. Mr. Breedlove worked with Mr. Sanford at Steris from 1991 to 1999, and the two men have remained friends since their departures from the company, which makes sterilization equipment for hospitals.
