Abstract

In the early 1900s, 100 years after Hermann Biggs initiated comprehensive tuberculosis-control efforts in New York City, both the city and the US saw a resurgence of the disease. New York City's rejuvenated tuberculosis-control efforts were patterned after Biggs' original model.
