So you've seen those funny-shaped packages at the electronics store where it displays DVDs and DVD players. Upon closer inspection you notice the description: "High-Definition DVD. "So you ask the salesman, "What is a 'high-definition DVD player' and why are there two formats?"
The first answer is easy: It's the latest evolution in the world of high-definition TV The second answer takes a little explaining:
