Attention Kmart shoppers: Use your debit cards

One of the biggest obstacles to the use of on-line debit cards has been major department store chains that have refused to accept the cards. But at least with discount department stores, that is beginning to change. The latest large discount chain to show interest in on-line debit cards is Troy, Mich.-based Kmart Crop., one of the largest discount store chains in the U.S. With 2,400 locations nationally, Kmart is testing debit card acceptance at 10 stores in Michigan, Arizona and California.
