ELMSFORD -- Two long-established commercial printers have agreed to form a new company, creating one of the largest graphic arts firms in the New York metro area.
Americom Graphics Ltd. -- a combination of A. Colish Inc. of Mount Vernon, founded in 1907, and Laurel Printing Inc. of Elmsford, founded in 1912 -- will have annual sales of $30 million.
Included in the consolidation are Laurel subsidiaries Thrush Press, which it purchased in 1983, and Sanders Printing Co., acquired in 1987.
The former headquarters of A. Colish at 40 Hartford Ave. will be closed and the 25,000-square-foot plant sold, according to an Americom spokesman.
Americom will operate from Laurel's headquarters at 375 Executive Blvd.
Edward N. Epstein, president and principal owner of A. Colish, will be chairman and chief operating officer of Americom. Other executive appointments involve Carl S. Grossman,...
