Having built an established program manager, the goal now is to take Lighthouse Underwriters to the next level," says Art Seifert, president. "In order to get there we need to think differently and question everything. For Lighthouse to continue to grow and be successful we need to provide great products to well qualified agents and deliver our services in a manner that makes the retail broker's job easier."
Seifert says that Lighthouse is building online platforms for smaller accounts in certain classes that lend themselves to programmed underwriting. "We are targeting our nonprofit D&O and assisted living under 25 to 30 beds. These online platforms will allow agents to receive indications with a minimum number of data points. Indications can be converted to binding quotes by completing the longer and more detailed online application.
