The latest version of pcAnywhere32 beats the other remote access packages in terms of overall performance, although at least one of the other contenders trumped Symantec's package on each of the various component tests we tried. But the potent pcAnywhere32 provides the single most flexible remote access and remote control platform we've tested-even if it does leave room for improvement.
Like LapLink and NetOp, pcAnywhere32 is a full-service program that supports both direct modem dial-up and Internet-based connections. It's also relatively easy to set up, at least initially; we were up and running with basic file transfers and remote control sessions in minutes.
