KFI reports record sales
Kwik Fit Insurance (KFI) reports record sales during August - its strongest figures for a single day of trading since the company was established in 1995. Over 1,500 new policies were signed up in 24 hours. Group managing director Brendan Devine says, "Our products are proving extremely popular with customers and our staff must be congratulated for the hard work and enthusiasm shown in delivering this record breaking result. It's fantastic to set a new one-day sales record and it sets a very high benchmark for our next record attempt."
Hiscox on the job
Hiscox recently issued a list of what it calls "quirky and curious" careers arising within recent research into small business owners' professional indemnity cover. Sam Franks, small business insurance expert at Hiscox UK says, "A wrong diet for a potential Crufts winner could result in a costly court battle if the business involved is not insured. It's important for business owners to consider all of the potential risks involved and ensure they have cover that is tailor-made for them - whether their job is out-of-the-ordinary or not."
The list of 'odd jobs' in question includes embalmers; equine dental technicians; historical re-enactors; paranormal investigators; bugging device sweepers; play area equipment consultants; animal nutrition consultants; tree root DNA analysers; polygraph testers; and organic food inspectors.

It is available as an ancillary product in conjunction with property quotations, and aims to provide peace of mind with a suitably qualified contractor with the associated costs being paid. The premium includes call-out charges, two hours' labour, up to £100 worth of parts and materials and alternative accommodation up to the value of £250.
