Professional Skills Institute
Professional Skills Institute (PSI) has added three new leaders at its Maumee-based campus: Michael Seifert, campus president; Susan Lippens, dean of education; and Tony Wallace, director of admissions.
According to PSI, Seifert brings more than 35 years of experience to his role as campus president. Most recently, he served as president at UEI College in San Marcos, California. He has also served as president for a number of schools prior to that including Medtech College, Kaplan College, and Ecotech Institute.
As campus president, Seifert will oversee campus operations, including administration, faculty, and student services. He holds a bachelor's degree in business resource development from Medaille College. Seifert also served as a United States Marine.
Lippens, according to PSI, has spent the past 15 years in the Toledo area working in a variety of roles with Stautzenberger College. Since 2011, Lippens served as the school's academic dean where she oversaw program directors along with full-time and adjunct faculty.
In her new role as dean of education, she will oversee PSI's programs and shape the curriculum based on feedback from industry professionals. Lippens holds a master's degree in organizational leadership from Lourdes University.
Wallace has spent more than 25 years working in the education industry, noted PSI. Prior to his role as director of admissions, Wallace was the corporate vice president of admissions and marketing at EduK Group in Orlando, Florida. He also previously served as vice president of admissions and marketing for Career Education Corporation.
As director of admissions, Wallace is responsible for enrollment and recruitment of prospective students. Wallace holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Flagler College.
The Douglas Company
The Douglas Company has promoted Brian McCarthy from vice president of construction to executive vice president of Midwest construction operations; Drew Rahrig from senior project manager to vice president of construction; and Andrew Barger and Ryon Barker from estimating coordinators to project estimators.
McCarthy will be responsible for all of the construction operations in the Toledo office. According to the company, he has been with Douglas for over 30 years and has honed his skills in leadership, project management, purchasing, supervision, scheduling, project cost estimating, maintaining client relationships, and the ability to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
