This poster presents technology to access and manage geospatial data to support planning, design, and data management in model-based GIS and mapping software. The core of technology uses software applications to convert data from national formats for exchange cadastral data and records from map of restored ownership and performs coordinate transformations in conformity with national legal coordinate systems and projections as well. The software applications is developed on .NET and is completely compatible with the supported data model in all Autodesk products offering GIS and mapping functionality - Aut°CAD Map 3D, Aut°CAD Civil 3D, Aut°CAD Utility Design. After converting all attribute data are in tables with built relationships in .mdb format (MS Access is not required). A bilateral connection between graphical objects and attribute data is established automatically. The software applications works with or without topology. The latter enables formal assessment of data quality and more effective implementation of different queries and references - static or dynamic. Besides the advantages of the available in all Autodesk products offering GIS and mapping functionality - FDO Data Access Technology i.e. API for manipulating, defining and analyzing geospatial information regardless of where it is stored are discussed. Emphasize is on the direct access (import and export) and manage geospatial information. The possibilities of Microsoft Bing interactive maps are presented as well. The presented technology: - Use natively access to CAD, GIS, point cloud imagery and business information from a broad range of sources, without the inherent risks of data conversion - Analyze data for better insight to into existing conditions and the potential impacts of future projects - Apply intelligent industry models for industries like Land Development, Electric & Gas, Roads & Highways, Water & Wastewater etc. to better organize information - Effectively share more coordinated and consistent information - Helps surveyors, architects, planning and engineering professionals access evaluate and share data to make more informed decisions
