ABSTRACT
In the Volga Federal district of Russia environmental management and landscape geography are considered inseparable from the protection of nature and environment. On the territory of the Mari Volga area and specially protected natural areas of the coastal strip of the Volga river , intensively used for recreation, you should know how to use recreational resources and what not to do.
Focused provision of accumulated information is a necessary basis for the achievement of the professional interaction of specialists in the field of recreational geography, environmental management and forest managementIn this direction it is necessary to provide assistance in obtaining information needed to solve the problem of complex estimation of recreational resources on the basis of foreign and domestic publications.
The system we developed recreational monitoring, including the reasonable norms of calculations of recreational capacity and ultimate load, a staged evaluation method degradirovali areas and bases,available results on the state of forest vegetation have been used for monitoring and inventory of anthropogenic landscapes in the coastal strip of the Volga river in the Volga Federal district. Potential customers will be the expected results for ministries and agencies involved in the management of natural resources, ecology, land use, forestry.
Monitoring system of forest ecosystems as a comprehensive assessment can be inserted methodically and organizationally into a unified European system of regional monitoring of natural systems with the help of bioindication network in the framework of the International cooperative programme (ICP-forests).
Thus the problem is solved. To determine the extent to which may affect the land, water, vegetation, fauna. And at the same time to preserve nature for future generations.

INTRODUCTION
