RAI is pulling the plug on 33-year old Italian distributor Sacis in favour of RAI Trade, a separate company to be led by RAI drama's former head Sergo Silva, that will concentrate more heavily on distributing RAI programmes.
Sacis, a regular fixture at the international programme markets, has made a name for itself by acquiring international programmes for Italian distribution.
