Intensive Cattle Development Programme (ICDP) in Haryana has been providing latest dairy farming technology since long for genetic improvement of indigenous milch animals by introducing superior germplasm. The present investigation examines the role of ICDP and socio-economic factors by comparing the relevant economic aspects of the beneficiary households adopting new technology in terms of crossbred and graded Murrah buffaloes with those of the non-beneficiary households having non-descript cows and buffaloes.
