There's no shortage of leadership quotes from well-known people. Everyone from Dwight D. Eisenhower, Peter E Drucker and Susan B. Anthony has deposited their two cents' worth on the topic. (Apparently a middle initial is required to have anything worthwhile to say on the subject). Not surprisingly, most of the quotes center on the obvious role of leadership, the ability to lead, the act of standing apart from the rest and convincing the masses to follow. The Adolf Hitler style of leadership, if you will.
But there's one quote from an unlikely source that stands out in my mind: "I start with the premise that the function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers." The quote is from...
