The goal of this book is to present and explain concepts, insights, practical methods, and decision support tools for effective supply chain management. While the book is primarily intended for business/management students, instructors, consultants, and supply chain managers, it could also be used as a text in an engineering course on logistics and supply chain management, as long as the material is supplemented by more technical readings. Each chapter in the book is largely self-contained, with the discussion of each topic enhanced by the liberal use of case studies, examples, and illustrations.
