Digital Media's 'Swiss Army Knife'
As the boundaries between film, video, and multimedia continue to blur and merge together, the tools required to work with these media need to evolve in kind. Though many editing and compositing packages offer the ability to output a variety of media types and file formats, they are ill-equipped and cumbersome at best for many of the finer points of multimedia development. Enter Terran Interactive's Media Cleaner Pro 4.0-the ultimate "swiss army knife" of media compression and conversion.
Good I Things In Small Packages
The whole point of this exercise is to take bulky, uncompressed, or insufficientlycompressed media and reduce it to a manageable size for some form of electronic content distribution, be it through a company's Intranet, online on the Internet, published as CD-ROMs, or DVDs, or a host of other possibilities.
Media Cleaner Pro 4.0 (MCP) is a powerful and easy-to-use software-based toolkit designed to convert and optimize multimedia files of all descriptions. It is right at home in a variety of environments, including production houses, post facilities, multimedia development shops, and a variety of Internet content creation enterprises.
Though designed originally for the Mac, MCP is available for both Macintosh and Windows (95/98/NT) operating systems, delivering true cross-platform compatibility with an interface that will let users feel right at home regardless of their operating system. It can recognize all major processor configurations and is able to work exceptionally well with multiple processors, though it does not have any network-rendering capability. A special version of MCP is also available to work with Integrated Computing Engine's BlueICE accelerator boards, delivering exceptional file processing capabilities for even the most demanding applications.
