At the recent annual general meeting of the CICA, I noted the significant progress we have made in achieving the vision articulated by the leadership of the institutes/ordre in the late 1990s. I also noted that David Smith was appointed president and CEO of the CICA in 2002 and has worked tirelessly and effectively to move the work of the institutes/ordre to a new level of cooperation, relevance and excellence.
David will retire next September, and the search for his successor is now under way. The board's CEO Search Committee has engaged Korn/Ferry International to assist it in finding the right person to be our next president and CEO. As part of the search process, applications for the position are being solicited by an advertisement in this issue of CAmagazine.
