Bay Networks (NYSE:BAY), Santa Clara, Calif., has announced the most cost-effective, scalable 10+100 Mbps workgroup switches from any of the major networking vendors: the 24+1 port BayStack(TM) 303 Ethernet Desktop Switch, priced at $94 per port, and the 12+1 port BayStack 304 Ethernet Segment Switch, priced at $125 per port (an optional second high-speed link is available for both switches).
In addition, the company introduced a new line of BayStack 150 Series 10BASE-T Hubs providing customers highly-competitive, entry- level pricing as low as $43 per port including management and other features typically offered with more expensive solutions.
Reinforcing its commitment to provide Adaptive Networks that are easy-to-use and worry-free for network managers, these new products are part of the company's BayStack family of low-cost switches, hubs and routers. The BayStack product family is designed to offer scalable performance and an easy migration path to Fast Ethernet and/or switched Ethernet.
