Renault's Scenic II can pull double duty as a company/small business vehicle, but it's not really likely too. It will however, do wonderfully well on the café scene, as a home to school and sports commuter, and a shopping basket front.
Ah ah Renault, hang up the phone - that was not an insult.The Scenic II will acquit itself more than admirably in these roles and if NZ Company Vehicle only wrote about cars that were tailored for 'fleetsville', it would be fairly slim reading.
The Scenic II represents safety, versatility, modern technology and value for money. It also represents a new class of vehicle - the compact MPV.
This artificially-created market segment is seeing a great deal of interest in Europe and it is likely that the trend will continue over here, as more consumers look for greater versatility out of economical car packages.
Renault wasn't the first in New Zealand with the compact MPV, but it has with typical French flair, produced a vehicle that turns heads wherever it goes.
