Abstract

The discovery of a new feathered dinosaur fossil, Juravenator, has greatly complicated scientists' understanding of the evolution of feathers. The new dinosaur has feathers on parts of its body different from other known species, implying that not all dinosaurs gained feathers in the same pattern.
