Throw away your pencils and calculators because with about four clicks of your mouse, you've got your Utilization Analysis, which used to take hours to complete. The JOBase program from Gerst Software Inc. is designed to let you know immediately where you stand in compliance with government regulations.
Gerst Management Co. has been involved in management consulting since 1982 and developed the software in order to manage about 225 client affirmative action plans. Because its clients then began asking for the software, Gerst created a separate company to respond to this need.
The program is ideal for government contractors or subcontractors who must have an AAP according to Executive Order 11246, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Vietnam Era Reclassification Act of 1974. But the cost makes it appealing only to larger companies.
WHAT IT DOES
JOBase asks you to collect the employment data needed to complete the Affirmative Action Plan, then processes and calculates your compliance status. The pro gram prompts you every step of the way.
JOBase also is an analysis and report generating tool. Once the database has been created, the system is operated through a menu bar with pull-down menus. There are screens for company data, cost centers, job groups, job titles, pay grades and organization units.
The Report Menu bar gives you access to nine different types of reports: Job Group Listing, Job Group Analysis, Organization Unit Analysis, Availability Analysis, Utilization Analysis, Placement Rate Goals, JAAR (Job Area Acceptance Range) Analysis, EEO-1 Report and...
