The American Jewish Committee's Boston Chapter held its 6lst annual meeting at Temple Israel in Boston on Sunday and presented Rev. Ray Hammond, M.D., and his wife, Rev. Gloria White-Hammond, M.D., with the Norman S. Rabb Award. The Hammonds were recognized for their extensive humanitarian efforts both at home and abroad.
"[The Hammonds] are people who do not stand stijl," said Liz Walker, the iconic Boston journalist, who presented the Hammonds with their award. "Ray and Gloria Hammond are justice in motion; they are creativity in motion; they are activism in motion; they are faith in motion."
