EDEBİYAT SOSYOLOJİSİ BAĞLAMINDA II. DÜNYA SAVAŞI SONRASI ALMAN EDEBİYATI ÜZERİNE BİR İNCELEME

Abstract

Bu makalede, II. Dünya Savaşı sonrasında Almanya’nın sosyal, siyasal ve ekonomik sorunlarına yer verilecek ve her alanda yeni bir başlangıç yapan Almanların edebiyat alanında yaptıkları yeni biçim ve içerik arayışları tartışılacaktır. Birinci kısımda edebiyatın sosyolojik imkânı üzerine durulurken ikinci kısımda Almanya’nın savaş sonrasındaki sosyo-politik ve ekonomik durumu gözler önüne serilecek ve üçüncü kısımda ise savaş sonrası Alman edebiyatının biçim ve konu seçimindeki yenilikçi tutum irdelenecektir. Bu yenileşme döneminde edebiyat, bir yandan Nazi yıllarının sebep olduğu yıkım ile hesaplaşma olarak görülürken, diğer yandan da “geçmişin işlenmesi” (Erinnerungsarbeit) ve yeni değerlerin savunulması işlevi görmüştür. Makale, çevresel koşulların edebiyatı nasıl şekillendirdiği üzerine durmakta ve edebiyatın dönemin sosyo-politik durumuna dair bir veri-hazinesi olabileceği göstermeye çalışmaktadır. Bu bakımdan makalenin temel kabulü, edebiyatın toplumdan beslendiği gibi toplumun da edebiyattan okunabilirliğidir.

In this article, the social, political and economic problems of the post -World War II Germany will be addressed and the pursuit of new form and content Germany, which made a beginning in every field, practiced in the field of literature will be discussed. In the first section, the sociological possibility of literature will be emphasized, in the second section the socio-political and economic status of Germany in the post-war period will be presented and in the third section the modernist attitude in the choice of form and subject of post war German literature will be studied. In this innovation period, on the one hand literature was regarded as a settling account with destruction caused by Nazi years and on the other hand it functioned as the “processing of the past” (Erinnerungsarbeit) and the defense of new values. The article puts emphasis on how environmental conditions shape literature and it attempts to demonstrate that literature may be a mine of data concerning socio-political condition of the period. In this regard, the basic acceptance of the article is that society can be read through literature as literature is nourished by society.
