There were days in 1981 when Robert Low didn't know if the finances of his company would get him and his associate to tomorrow.
Those were the times of yesterday.
Today, Prime, Inc., a local trucking company which serves nationwide, is celebrating a 1992 fiscal year of more than $153 million in revenues. And last month in launched truck 1,000.
Tell that to Low, president/founder of the company, in October 1981 when he and Prime were in bankruptcy court, and he may not have been a believer.
"(The feeling in 1981) was if I don't make enough money this week I may not be here next week," he recalled of the time directly alter the bankruptcy.
That's when he did a lot of soul searching and planning to get through "the long hard struggle. "
He said he and his associates (employees) had to decide whether they had a viable company and if they wanted to expand services in the refrigerated trucking aspect.
"We decided that we did," Low said.
