The diverse educational, editorial, translating, and critical elements present in the work of the Countess of Ségur are more than enough to justify the quick and successful reception and success of her novels in Spain. Different translations of these novels proliferated during the post-war period, as did individual statements evoking a vision of childhood where Segur's work appeared in the imagination of children readers. These facts, along with the success of her «novel of mischiefs» genre further acted as pillars of her success and support our claim.
