A new agreement is designed to improve interchange points and put excess capacity to use
Canadian National and BNSF Railway agreed in January to better coordinate interchange points and joint operations, principally in Vancouver, B.C., Chicago, and between Memphis, Tenn., and southern Illinois.
"These agreements are smart railroading," CN CEO E. Hunter Harrison said.
