Engineering Economy, 13th Edition By William G. Sullivan, Elin M. Wicks, James T. Luxhoj, Pearson Education, Inc. 2006
With such a competitive selection of engineering economy textbooks available for use in an introductory course, it can be quite difficult to decide which one to use. The 13th edition of the text Engineering Economy by Sullivan, Wicks, and Luxhoj from Pearson Education, Inc., is reviewed here. This text has been around for a number of years and has gone through various revisions but has indeed adapted to new teaching pedagogies. The book is appropriate for an undergraduate course in engineering economy or for use by practicing engineers who may need reference support for an economic analysis of an engineering project.
The latest edition is supplemented by an instructor's CD with complete solutions to all problems, PowerPoint presentations, as well as sample exam questions. The reader is likely aware that this has become a trend in textbook publications and it was satisfying to see it included in the latest edition of this text. The...
