Headnote

After 66 years in the haulage business Wrights Transport in Goole closed its doors with an unreserved auction in March.

Fred Wright started in Selby in 1938, and then ran the business with his brother Charlie until the early 1960s when Graham Wright took over the reins.The ( company dealt in general haulage for many years before moving to Goole in 1978 and started to concentrate on containers from the town, before going national five years ago.
