SUNNYVALE, CALIF. - Philips Semiconductors has launched a single-chip, triple-band, General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Class 12 RF transceiver based on the near-zero intermediate frequency (N-ZIF) architecture. Philips claims it is among the first companies to develop the N-ZIF architecture for GSM applications.
