DALLAS -- Efficient Networks Inc. has fleshed out its strategy for marrying asynchronous transfermode-switching and asymmetric digital-subscriber-line access, via two end-user PCI cards shown at Networld+Interop. One adds anew flavor of ADSL, in the form of carrier-less amplitude/phase (CAP) modulation chips from Globespan Technologies Inc.; the other adds a 25-Mbit/second ATM interface, addressing a speed grade popular in Europe and the Pacific Rim.
