The serial-input DAC7631 and parallel-input DAC7641 feature power consumption of 2.5 mW and provide a voltage output for fast settling in 5-V single-supply and +/-5 V dual-supply applications.
Tucson, ARIZ. - A pair of 16bit, voltage-output D/A converters from Burr-Brown Corp., now a part of Texas Instruments, are designed for high-performance, single-supply industrial process control and fiber-optic communications systems.
The serial-input DAC7631 and parallel-input DAC7641 feature power consumption of 2.5 mW and provide a voltage output for fast settling in 5-V single-supply and +/-5 V dual-supply applications. They offer 10-microsecond settling time to 0.003 percent accuracy, 15-bit monotonic performance over-40 degC to 85 degC, a differential reference input and a configurable output amplifier.
The DAC7631 is priced from $5.50 in 1,000-piece quantities and is packaged in an SSOP-20. The DAC7641 starts at $5.85 in similar quantities and comes in a TQFP-32.
