This isn't the first time the city has seen a mass-overdose - a New Haven man pleaded guilty to charges in connection with overdoses of more than a dozen people in June 2016.
At the height of the situation, emergency crews were sprinting across the 16-acre park from victim to victim.
None have resulted in death with the vast majority of those treated suffering from non-life threatening illnesses, police added.
