New shows from Keo, Lion, 72 Films, Studio Lambert and Zeppotron
In-depth explorations of The Iraq War and Nazi Germany and Mary Beard’s study of nudity head up BBC2’s upcoming factual slate.
Exodus director James Bluemel is helm Keo Films’ The Iraq War, which will feature some challenging first-hand perspectives on America and Britain’s gamble in invading the country, from working class Iraqi families, American and British soldiers and the parents of a suicide bomber.
BBC2 controller Patrick Holland and head of commissioning, documentaries Clare Sillery ordered the 5 x 60-minute series, which will be executive produced by Will Anderson and Andrew Palmer and produced by Jo Abel.
Meanwhile, 72 Films is to transpose the style of its RTS award-winning series Elizabeth I’s Secret Agents to 1930s Germany for The Rise of...
